MINNEAPOLIS, MN — As gas prices continue to put pressure on daily commuters, working families, and anyone feeling the pinch at the pump, Peace Coffee is proud to announce a breakthrough in alternative fueling: Peace Premium™, a brewed fuel solution for select vehicles.
For years, Peace Coffee has powered early mornings, long shifts, delivery routes, and school drop-offs. Now, in response to rising fuel costs and growing interest in cleaner transportation alternatives, the company is bringing that same energy to the road.
“People are already relying on coffee to get where they need to go,” said Lee Wallace, CEO and Owner of Peace Coffee. “At a certain point, we started asking a simple question: if Peace Coffee fuels you, why shouldn’t it help fuel your car too?”
Available in Espresso Reserve™, Peace Premium™ is Peace Coffee’s new premium-grade brewed fuel, designed to offer bold performance, organic ingredients, and a dramatically better-smelling commute.
The idea first emerged within Peace Coffee’s delivery team. With the bike side of the operation already ahead of the curve, rising gas prices led the team to ask a practical question about the vans: could brewed Peace Coffee help power the route?
In addition to reducing dependence on petroleum, the new system offers what Peace Coffee is calling a cleaner kind of clean energy. Because Peace Premium™ starts with organic coffee beans, the company believes drivers can feel good knowing they are fueling with something thoughtfully sourced, expertly roasted, and significantly more aromatic than gasoline.
“Traditional fuel gets you there,” said David Griffin-Luna, Peace Coffee Delivery Manager. “But this is different. This is organic. This is cleaner. This is a fuel you can feel good about spilling a little of on your hands.”
Peace Coffee says early testing has shown especially promising results in morning commutes, cold starts, and situations requiring alertness, optimism, or strong merge confidence. Beginning April 1, Peace Coffee will introduce Peace Premium™ through a limited launch for select vehicles and highly motivated drivers.

While we wish Peace Coffee alone could power every vehicle, that is not yet a reality. What is real is our commitment to reducing emissions, and we are currently working to transition our fleet to fully electric vehicles.
