With Gratitude, From the Beginning to What Comes Next

Thirty years ago, Peace Coffee began as a hopeful and very intentional idea. We believed coffee could be a catalyst for change. That it was possible to pay farmers a fair price for their work, to build honest and long-term relationships, and to create a business rooted in values without sacrificing sustainability. At the time, that idea was far from mainstream. We set out to prove that ethical business was not only the right thing to do, but something that could truly work.

If you have been with us since the beginning, you helped turn that belief into reality. If you are new to Peace Coffee, we are grateful you have found your way here.

Looking back, I am struck not by how much we have grown, but by how steady our values have remained. We continue to believe in putting people first, in pursuing quality without cutting corners, and in fairness throughout the supply chain. We believe in telling a richer, more honest story about where coffee comes from and who makes it possible.

From Farm Communities to Home Communities

We have had the privilege of working alongside farming communities who continue to show resilience and creativity in the face of climate change, political instability, and economic systems that too often work against them. Their work, their knowledge, and their perseverance are the backbone of Peace Coffee. Long-term relationships, measured not in seasons but in decades, have shown us what trust, mutual respect, and shared commitment look like in practice.

Those relationships influence not only how we source coffee, but how we show up in every community we serve. In our hometown of Minneapolis, where we roast all of our coffee, we are proud to be part of a vibrant community of businesses and neighbors from many cultures. Our roots run deep here, and we invest in and partner with local organizations and nonprofits working toward positive social and environmental change. Because real change is brewed together.

As we mark this milestone, here is what you can count on from us:
