We’re ecstatic to introduce our first-ever Microlot!

This is a small batch of coffee that is traceable to the coffee harvest of Karla Portillo, a third-generation coffee farmer from the COSMA Cooperative in Honduras. A daughter of one of the founding members of COSMA, and a former staff member herself, Karla pays meticulous attention to detail, using best processing techniques to ensure the highest quality coffee. This dynamic and nurturing light roast holds flavors of florals and fruit: chamomile, Meyer lemon, baked pear, and apple. A lovely, lingering finish with a soft acidity and a creamy body equals a nicely balanced cup. Enjoy the unique taste of COSMA, courtesy of Karla.  Learn more about Karla>>

Roast: Light

Acidity: Soft

Body: Smooth

Aroma: floral and fruity

Tasting Notes: chamomile, Meyer lemon, baked pear and apple

To honor the care and attention Karla put into growing this coffee, we recommend brewing these beans using a Chemex.  Of course, any brew method you choose will deliver a delicious brew. Need some tips? Our brewing guides are here to help.

4 Reviews for Karla Portillo Limited Edition Microlot – Online Exclusive

  1. I’ve been hoping for micros from Peace, and was thankful to give this a go when released. Definitely worth the experience. Aromatic, zesty, and quite complete. Very enjoyable.

    — Matt W.

  2. I love the light roasts, but this is the most flavorful blend I’ve tried in a long time. Not a professional coffee taster and can’t attest to the adjectives used in the description on the website—but I’ve been drinking coffee for over 50 years, and this is one of the best.

    — John K.

  3. So fragrant, smooth and delicious! I hope this can become a permanent offering among Peace Coffee’s small trove of delightful light roasts <3

    — Sarah N.

  4. delicious and smooth! we enjoyed this very much!

    — LYNN G.
