What's your favorite fact about coffee?
One coffee tree will produce about 1-2 pounds of green beans per year. That fact has played into my appreciation of all the effort that has gone into my coffee consumption from bean to cup.
What's your dream job?
Living someplace with a slower pace of life while writing and illustrating children's books.
What's your favorite pairing with coffee?
Classic egg sandwich.
If you could have coffee with anyone, living or dead, who'd it be?
My grandpa. The older I get, the more I hear about how similar we are. Apparently we both have a love for moccasins, plaid, too many houseplants, gardening and the craft of food preservation. It would be pretty awesome to discuss gardening and canning with him.
Where are you to be found when not at Peace Coffee?
Usually at home with my partner and all of our furry beasties. If not there it's highly likely I'm exploring the outdoors.
What's your favorite fashion faux pas to commit?
Chacos and a puffy jacket.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Iceland is top on the list. I'm a fan of cooler climates, and I'd love to go bikepacking there. Also, it would be nice to camp in an area where there isn't the constant fear of a bear walking past your tent (I'm looking at you Alaska).
If someone made you into a cartoon or comic character, what would that character's most prominent feature be?
What is the best bike ride you’ve ever taken & why?
Biking along the hilly roads by the Trimbelle River in Wisconsin. It's a really beautiful area with rolling hills, big sky, and dilapidated barns.
