Fall is in the Air
Tuesday, September 1, 2015
We've noticed a little chill to early mornings lately and we've updated our menu to reflect the bittersweet fact that fall is on its way. Think crunchy leaves, back-to-school, and all-American specialties like apple pie—we've got your seasonal cravings covered.
Harvest Moon Latté
“Shine on, shine on harvest moon up in the sky,” goes the old song, and, even if you find yourself as lonely and love-lorn as the singer, this latté is bound to sweeten your day. Made with puréed roasted pumpkin (locally & organically grown), a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg, and a pinch of brown sugar, it's a fall classic.
A tribute to the the queen of '80s teen movies, and to gingers everywhere. A latté that's equal parts sweet and sassy with brown sugar, fresh ginger, and blackstrap bitters. Add a dusting of powdered gingersnaps for a little extra nostalgia, and a hint of spice.
Kerouac claims that the pie got better and the ice cream ever creamier as his epic road trip took him deeper and deeper into the Midwest. We're paying tribute to his classic trip and bragging a little about our local specialties with a mug of hot Minnesota apple cider laced with house-made caramel sauce topped with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon. Fuel your wanderlust!
