Coffee Beer or Bust
Tuesday, January 19, 2016
Here in Minnesota, winters can be tough. With short days and chilly nights, we find ourselves dreaming of cruising bike trails around the lakes on warm afternoons and spending nights in our backyards sipping cold brews by the fire.
At Peace Coffee, we spend the cold months roasting and brewing up delicious coffees to stave off the winter chill. And just as those warm mornings are made better by hot coffee, the key to a good winter evening involves a few lively cheers with some fine local beers.
Twin Cities Beers featuring Peace Coffee
We affectionately call these brews ‘winter warmers’ and our coffee is a key ingredient in many of the seasonal offerings from our outstanding local brewing scene. If you live in the Twin Cities area, we think it wise to venture out this winter and try these!
- Coffee Ominous – A coffee-infused Double Brown Ale by Bad Weather Brewing (St. Paul, MN). Available starting January 22nd at the taproom only.
- War & Peace – A Russian Imperial Coffee Stout by Fulton Brewing (Minneapolis, MN). Release in late February, War & Peace is vailable in 4-packs of 12 oz bottles. You'll also be able to find it on draft at the Fulton Taproom and other local bars.
- Espresso Porter – An expresso-infused porter by Northbound Smokehouse Brewpub (Minneapolis, MN). As part of the Infusion Tuesdays series, the release date varies. And it's only available in the taproom, so check out their Twitter feed for updates.
Winter Carnival Beer Dabbler
If all of this beer and coffee talk has got your long undies in a bundle, then we invite you to take your love to the next level. An experience for the true Minnesota winter lover, the Winter Carnival Beer Dabbler is a full-on assault on the senses that includes a perfect mix of brews, both caffeinated and carbonated, and braving the cold. We are pumped to be a part of the festival this year, and we’ll have more than enough coffee to keep you warm on your quest toward Minnesota winter mastery!!
