What's your favorite fact about coffee?
That it's stimulating.
What's your dream job if you weren't working at Peace Coffee?
Either building/repairing string instruments or being part of a successful small farm.
Tell us something no one knows about your job.
I sing and recite soliloquies while riding to keep myself entertained.
What's your favorite pairing with coffee?
Definitely some kind of semi-sweet pastry... a croissant or a really good Danish. Since I rarely treat myself to such delights, my more likely pairing would be some sort of breakfast porridge, sweetened with maple or honey, a generous dollop of yogurt, and whatever nice fruit is in season. The coffee would be our own Blue Ox Blend... I haven't found anything I like as much that one. I'll take it at home, please, with my sweetie on a Sunday morning.
If you could have coffee with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
Albert Einstein, Ticht Nhat Hanh, Wendell Berry, Jesus, Buddha, maybe my great-great-grandparents.
Where are you to be found when not at Peace Coffee?
Usually at home. If I'm not there, I might be clogging with the Wild Goose Chase Cloggers, or on the dance floor at the Monday night square dance, or playing music with friends, or maybe out skiing, jogging or riding my bike.
How'd you find your way to Peace Coffee?
By way of a series of interviews.
What's your favorite fashion faux pas to commit?
Black and blue? tucking my shirt in according to Nikki.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Maybe Scandinavia... mostly because i've never been there and i have lots of Norwegian heritage. I also like their traditional music. And the sweaters!
What music keeps you going while at work? Old-time american fiddle music mostly... I also enjoy other types of fiddle music, other old/weird folk music, country, soul, rock n roll, and the hip-hop sounds of the early 90's.
