Howdy!
There are two recent things I'd like to share.
First,
there is a new Festival Foods store in Hugo, MN,
that is carrying our coffee. They have an
expansive natural foods section and our coffee is
featured both in bulk and in one-pound bags. The
receiving manager has told me that customers are
very happy that they no longer have to drive to
the Kowalski's Market in White Bear Lake to find
Peace Coffee. She has also told me that she is a
recent convert to our beans.
Second,
Peace Coffee has a new delivery driver -- Tom
Hudson. Tom can be seen driving our bio-diesel van
and delivering coffee via bicycle around the Twin
Cities and surrounding area. Look for a profile of
Tom coming soon in the “Peace Crew” section of our
website.
What
do these two things have in common? Our Twin
Cities Blend. Not only is it the current favorite
of the receiving manager at Festival Foods, but
it's also Tom's fave. It's a great coffee to drink
while enjoying cooler days and changing leaves.
Colombian and Guatemalan chocolates, Sumatran
spices, and a smoky finish.
Lately
Anna has been bringing in food from her garden,
and we have been spending time pairing tastes in
food with the tastes that we find in our coffee.
Bell peppers, cucumbers, apples and tomatoes have
been in season. But as summer turns to fall and
our local food choices change, I'd like to suggest
a piece of pumpkin pie and a cup of Twin Cities
Blend.
Tom
also tells me that Twin Cities makes a great shot
of espresso!
