TJ Semanchin, Peace Coffee Roaster Extraordinaire
I have a very special place in my heart for our Colombian Fondo Paez coffee, a fondness that is multiplied by the incredible flavor of this bean. I was in Colombia a couple years ago. And now, whenever I taste this coffee, I return to the indigenous Paez communities and remember how proud I am to be teamed up with such an amazing group of farmers. Our new roast profile highlights the luscious and sweet caramel qualities of this year’s superb crop. Behind the caramel lies a cherry coated in dark chocolate. (You have to taste it to believe it.) I would definitely recommend this coffee as a gift this holiday season -- it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser, even for a newcomer to the specialty coffee scene. The overall flavor is pleasantly smooth (since this medium-dark roast is not as intense as some of our other dark selections).
When you’re with your loved ones this holiday season sipping on this brew, please remember our farmer friends around the world and send them your best wishes for peace in the coming year.
keep it fresh,
TJ
