Roaster’s Selection of the Month: French Meadow
Bakery Blend
We are unveiling another Peace Coffee original this month -- the French Meadow Bakery Blend -- developed with our friends at the French Meadow Café in mind. The blend is two parts edgy, one part rich and two parts pleasant. We went around the world for this one, using Ethiopian, Sumatran and Colombian coffees. Each of these coffees is roasted separately to their optimum roast degree: one light (Ethiopian) one medium (Sumatran) and one dark (Colombian), providing a completely balanced yet complex overall flavor profile.
The trick to good blending is to ensure that one coffee’s flavor doesn’t overshadow or, even worse, degrade another’s. In this blend we’ve found the perfect ratio where each coffee shines through and the different flavors play off each other. The end result is a cup that starts with bright and spicy high tones carried by a syrupy body and finished off by a solid fruity sweetness.
If you are passing through the Minneapolis airport, don’t forget to swing by the F concourse, say hi to the French Meadow crew and grab a perfect cup of java to keep you moving…
Keep it fresh,
TJ
