Our signature Fall beverages are available now through November at our coffee shops!

Vibrant colors, brisk air, and cozy sweaters are just a few of the things we love about autumn. It’s a time of plenty in our neck of the woods. Having just shucked the last few ears of peak season corn and brought in this year’s ripe tomato crop, we turn our attention to fall; a time of preparation. As the pages of the year turn toward root cellars, mulling spices, and apple orchards our barista team don their favorite fall flannels and put their heads together for a few fresh tastes for the season.

Autumn Honey Blaze

Taking cues from many other fine cafes around the world, we decided to craft a unique beverage made from an herbal tea called Rooibos. Rooibos, sometimes referred to as ‘red tea’, is naturally sweet and often has hints of honey in its aroma and flavor when brewed. To dial those flavors in, we extract the tea like a coffee espresso shot through our machine and add honey, allspice, and your choice of steamed milk for a smooth, flavorful cup that you will want to enjoy all autumn long.

Fall Fizz

Making a comeback appearance to our late summer lineup is the fall fizz. Available through September, the 2017 rendition combines house made apple cider concentrate with citrus and autumnal spices and chills them down with sparkling water for a refreshing drink that accompanies late-summer scorchers as well as chilly morning commutes.

Harvest Moon

Squash based lattes from shops around the country peak this time of year, but the trouble is few of them actually resemble the true flavors of these unique gourds. Our Harvest Moon Latte steps up to the plate with a squashy homage to your favorite vegetable in a cup. We take the week’s best squash (starting with an acorn squash and changing as the season turns) and roast it in-house. It is puréed with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and becomes a base on which to layer your choice of steamed milk and a shot of espresso.

On the Road

Rooted in a quote from Jack Kerouac’s On the Road, our final fall beverage invites you to slow down and savor the fruits of the season. Jack writes that the pie got better and the ice cream ever creamier as his epic road trip took him deeper and deeper into the Midwest. Starting in October, we’re paying tribute to his classic trip and bragging a little about our regional specialties by serving a steamy mug of local apple cider laced with house made caramel sauce and topped with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon. Fuel your wanderlust!
