Teaching people how to grow their food or anything that involves empowering people by teaching them how to make something with their hands.

Enjoying my new neighborhood in South Minneapolis! Reading with the kettle on, making something out of wood or binding a book for a buddy.
If you could have coffee with anyone, living or dead, who'd it be?
My great grandpa Billy Trew who was a jazz musician. I’ve seen pictures of him playing three saxophones at once. Apparently, that was his thing!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Japan- I’d love to learn more about woodworking there. I also want to see their humongous, loud cities as much as their beautiful, quiet corners.
If someone made you into a cartoon or comic character, what would that character's most prominent feature be?
A mustache and a cup of coffee in my hand.
What's your favorite fashion faux pas to commit?
I am very in love with my clogs.
What is the best bike ride you’ve ever taken & why?
The one that ended with a big blueberry pie in Marine on St. Croix.
Biking around the Amsterdam forest comes to mind. The whole morning was calm and misting as I biked around the lake and through small gardening communities. I managed to order coffee and a sandwich at a hidden lodge along the way and was visited by a hungry bird.
